About the workshop
Help with copyright, IP (brand etc), new technologies (personal data etc) challenges specific to indie creators and studios.

Since 1992 in France, video games are subject to what's called "legal deposit". According to these measures, any document that is distributed to a wide audience in France, that is, outside of one's family, must be deposited to the French national Library. The legal deposit represents the memory of the cultural heritage distributed over the national territory, and includes foreign creations that are published, produced or distributed in France. Notably, this deposit is now mandatory to obtain any grant from the CNC (National Cinematography Center). You'll learn about legal deposit and be given the opportunity to submit your creations to legal deposition. Please bring your game files on a USB key or drive so that they can be transferred offline.

About the workshop
Instagram has become a narrative tool for a new wave of interactive storytellers. We'll show you how to disrupt and utilize medium which is both a tool for production and distribution and the largest visual social media platform.

Jade "JDWasabi" Leamcharaskul is a game music composer, sound designer and music culture consultant. She hopes to offer more culturally accurate options to game dev and regularly performs Taiko Drums on stage. Previous works include Dragon Fin Soup.
About the workshop
The workshop will deconstruct/analyse the audio of game scenes and how it works with game design to create impact to players. By the end of the workshop you'll hopefully have a deeper understanding of how to design meaningful moments with audio.

Holding a Master of advanced studies in Social Rights, Rachel Spire has worked as legal expert in a union. She became a lawyer in 2009 and set up her own law firm in 2016. She's a member of the French Lawyers Union and a labor rights activist.
